is located on the Eastern side of Hamilton County only a few miles Northeast of the City of Cincinnati. The Villiage itself encompasses roughly 20 square miles of beautiful hilly terrain.

The Village of Indian Hill has a reputation for outstanding schools, excellent public safety and active community involvement. Furthermore, firm administration of local zoning ordinences ensures the maintenance of the community feel and lifestyle. The Village charter states: “It is the purpose and intent of the people of Indian Hill that the character and uses of the area within the Village may not be changed, and it shall continue to be a rural neighborhood.”

  • The 2007 Newsweek list of the best public high schools (ranked according to a ratio devised by Jay Mathews), lists Indian Hill High School as 81st out of the top 1,200 high schools.
  • The Indian Hil Exempted Village School District is ranked 11th out of all 613 Ohio School Districts by the Ohio Department of Education as measured by the State’s School District Performance Index.

    The Indian Hill Rangers Police Department - The Rangers pride themselves in providing a public service beyond what most people expect from a typical police department. In 1985 the Indian Hill Rangers became the first Police Department in Ohio and only the sixth in the nation to receive National Accredidation.
    The Madeira and Indian Hill Fire Department and Life Squad - A fire department and life squad of 16 career professionals and 30 paid on-call professionals that operate out of two fire stations. The headquarters station is located at Drake and Shawnee Run Roads in Indian Hill while the second station is at Miami and Euclid in neighboring Madeira, OH.
